They focus on the philosophical sources that are likely to have influenced his thinking, the most prominent of which were certain Greek philosophers chiefly AristotleLatin Christian writers such as Augustineand Jewish and Islamic authors such as Maimonides and Avicenna. During life, an individual's will must be ordered toward right things such as charity, peace and holinesswhich requires morality in everyday human choices, a kind of Virtue Ethics.
